Front Office Assistant
As the Front Office Assistant, you will be tasked with cleaning, bringing in feral cat traps and assisting new clients. Upon arrival to your shift, you will check in with the customer service representatives at the front desk.
Greeter – Cassat
Customer service and a friendly rapport is key to ensuring our clients receive the care they need. As the Greeter, you will be tasked with standing in the front lobby to welcome guests. You will direct them to the front desk to check-in and direct them to the waiting room. Your role is to keep the environment calm, friendly and organized.
Kennel Assistant – Norwood
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to participate in this activity. As the Kennel Assistant, you will be tasked with feeding and watering animals, handling animals to and from kennels and cleaning kennels. Volunteers must be able to lift 40 pounds individually and be comfortable around feces, urine, and feral cats.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to participate in this activity. As the Surgical Assistant, you may see pets and other animals at their absolute worst. You will be tasked with cleaning surgical instruments, creating surgical packs, assisting with rescue intake, assisting with our kennel, moving crates, and restocking supplies.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to participate in this activity. As the Veterinary Clinic Assistant, you will be tasked with cleaning surgical instruments, restocking supplies, creating surgical packs, restraining non-fractious animals, folding laundry and you may be asked to assist with drawing up vaccines.
Amazon Donation Sorting
Help us to sort pet food from our friends at Amazon. Our work will make a big difference for the pet parents that depends on the Pet Food Bank to feed their beloved furry family members. This job involves bending and lifting in a non climate controlled environment. (This position is needed on a monthly basis.)
FCNMHP is one of the largest spay and neuter clinics in the country, it takes a lot of manpower to keep our linens clean and sterile for surgeries. We also see on average 100 clients a day in our veterinary clinic, using an exorbitant amount of laundry. Please help us save lives and keep up with laundry each day! This is an important job and would mean so much to our entire team.
Pet Food Bank – Cassat
Sometimes families can scarcely afford to feed themselves, let alone their beloved pets. Thanks to this community-driven program, we help make it easier for these families to keep pets in homes and out of shelters. We have distributed more than 1.8 million pounds of pet food to improve the quality of life for pets and people. You will assist with client check-in, paperwork verification, and food distribution.
This volunteer will help our team update clients’ microchip information. You will need to be comfortable on the phone and have moderate computer skills.

Once a week…. once a month…..one time special events….one hour….or ten hours: All we ask is that you are passionate about the mission and dedicated to the work you do.
We accept volunteers starting at age 14. 14 and 15-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent and 16 and 17-year-olds must have an in-person meeting with the volunteer manager. Parents or guardians must sign applications for any volunteers under the age of 18.
