Clinic Opening!
April Showers bring May Flowers, but May is also the beginning of kitten season, so it is appropriate that our spay/neuter clinic will reopen in May. Our new temporary clinic is located off University Blvd. If you would like to help us “break in” the new clinic, we could really use some volunteers, especially veterinarians and vet-techs. Contact the hotline for details 904-425-0005, and to sign up to volunteer and help us celebrate!
We are very excited to have Cheryl Plantz as our new clinic manager.
Cheryl comes to us with experience working as a technician in private veterinary practice, co-managing Dog Wood Park, and volunteering with Safe Animal Shelter, and we know that she has the skills and dedication to help us reach our goals.
While we are all thrilled to be opening this temporary clinic, we are still working as hard as ever to establish a permanent clinic location. We have made great strides in reducing the shocking numbers of animals entering and dying in local
municipal shelters, but in order to continue our momentum, we must have a permanent, dedicated spay/neuter facility. We can’t wait for someone else to address this problem—today, as you read this, shelters are crowded, beyond capacity, with the innocent victims of our pet overpopulation crisis. There are many ways that you can help us ensure that today’s pets won’t be producing tomorrow’s litter of cast-off kittens or puppies. Please contact our fundraising office
